What do your testing packages cost?

Depending on the package chosen, the cost ranges from $99.00 to $1750.00. We accept all major credit cards as payment through our secure checkout process powered by Stripe.

How long does an evaluation session take?

Depending on the package chosen, the length of time can range anywhere between 2 hours and 7 hours. This also varies upon whether the testing conducted via the internet or in person and the speed at which the client completes all untimed portions of the evaluation.

How do I purchase a testing package?

From our home page, select the client group that most closely reflects where you or the client are at in their life (i.e. High School, College, & Mid-Career). Then select the package that best fits your budget, the client’s needs, and their time constraints and click on it to begin the checkout process. Fill out the checkout form completely, enter in your or the client’s billing and personal information, read and accept the terms and conditions, and click continue to payment. Input your payment information and click blue pay button to complete the transaction. A member of our staff will be in touch via email within 24 business hours with the login information the client will need to start their evaluation package.

Do you offer refunds on testing packages?

We do not provide refunds for our testing packages due to the non-refundable nature of the test credits we purchase and the inability for us to recover our payment to the test publisher once an assessment package order is processed.

How far in advance do I need to purchase the in-person packages for scheduling?

Appointments must be made in advance, however how much notice depends on the time of year and whether you want a weekday, evening, or weekend session time. Generally, our busiest times of year are during Summer and the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday weeks. Also, weekend and evening appointments are limited due to staff availability. Those dates/times aside, a general rule for scheduling is to purchase your package about 2 weeks prior to when you or the client actually want to come in for the evaluation. Internet packages can be scheduled and taken at any time or day.

Are you open for in-person testing on Saturdays?

No, but with special request and advance notice, we may be able to accommodate a Saturday appointment.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for in-person testing?

Since the components of our testing measure who you are, you or the client can’t study for them. As such the only recommendation we have is for the client to get a good night’s sleep.

How are the evaluations administered?

For the internet-based testing packages, all testing is done via an internet-connected computer. For in-person testing packages, some testing is done via an internet-connected computer and some is administered by a highly trained vocational evaluator. We do allow clients to take as many breaks as they need, in between testing instruments.

What tests do you administer in the evaluation?

It depends on the package purchased, so please visit the packages page for you or their client group/age to learn more.

What is the minimum age for our evaluations?

We recommend our testing packages for people at or over the age of 14, however there is no upper limit of age.

What kinds of people take our evaluations?

Anyone can, but to make best use of our evaluations, we have chosen to focus on the following ages/groups of people…

  • High School Students seeking career and educational guidance
  • College Students seeking career and educational guidance
  • Mid-Career Adults who may be unhappy or dissatisfied by their current job/career, returning to the job market, or those about to retire.
What can a client expect at the Debrief Session?

At the debrief session, depending on the package purchased, the client’s evaluation results will be explained including their test scores, descriptive material from each test, and further information specific to any patterns/recommendations based upon the evaluation. In addition, the evaluator will also provide a variety of additional resources related to understanding their results, career cluster recommendations, how to use the information, how to make school and major choices, and the various ways a client can start to research ideas discussed.

Does the client get a copy of their evaluation results?

Yes, the client will always receive a copy of their testing results with the purchase of any package and if they ever need another copy of the results, please contact our office.

Does the client need access to a printer to use a testing package?

Yes, because one of the subtests in the CAPS assessment (included with all packages) requires a set of 3 pages to be printed out for the client to complete the test and enter their score. Also, the client may want a printer to print out any resources or reports generated by the testing system or our evaluators.

What if the client has a disability?

If the client has a disability, we highly recommend you or they choose the Career Professional Plus package to ensure their needs are met and fully evaluated. Alternatively, you or they may contact Bloom Consulting (, our division that specializes in people with disabilities, to obtain a more disability specific evaluation at a comparable price.

Do you have other testing centers outside of Austin, TX?

No, at this time, our only in-person testing center is in Austin.

Are there other organizations that provide evaluations like Bloom Career?

Other organizations may provide similar evaluations, but they may not have an understanding of the field of vocational rehabilitation, job placement, or job development at the level that our highly trained and graduate level staff do. They also may not be Certified Rehabilitation Counselors, possess graduate or terminal degrees, or have specific information about the career potential for unique populations like teenagers, adolescents, people with disabilities, and/or mid-career professionals.
